Direct billing

Take the stress out of your visit with our direct billing services! If you have private insurance, we can often submit claims directly to your insurance company, so you don’t need to pay upfront.

 

Important Notes About Direct Billing

  1. Claim Processing:

    • We can’t guarantee all claims will go through.

    • If your claim isn’t accepted, you’ll need to pay in full for your appointment.

    • If portals are temporarily down, we’ll submit your claim later and charge your credit card for any balance your insurance doesn’t cover.

  2. Coverage Details:

    • Insurance companies don’t share your specific coverage details with us.

    • We can usually only submit claims to your primary insurance. The exception? Secondary coverage through Green Shield Canada.

Here’s What You Need to Know

Bring Your Insurance Information

  • What We Need:

    • Policy/Contract/Group Number

    • Member ID/Certificate Number

  • Where to Find It: On your insurance card.

  • What We’ll Do: We’ll scan and securely store it in your confidential patient file.

Complete the Direct Billing Intake Form

  • Fill it out before your first visit.

  • If you’re already a patient and don’t have the form, contact us—we’ll email it to you!

Provide a Valid Credit Card

  • Why? Your card will cover any amounts not paid by your insurance.

  • Rest Assured: We’ll store it securely in your patient file.

Avoid Surprises: Check Your Coverage First

To understand your benefits, contact your insurance provider and ask:

  • Does my plan allow for direct billing?

  • What services are covered (e.g., massage, reflexology, acupuncture, osteopathy)?

  • What is my annual coverage limit?

  • Is there a deductible?

  • How much am I covered for per visit?

  • Do I need a medical prescription to access these services?
